A calmer Sunday ahead of rain and snow returns in Metro Detroit’s forecast. What to expect?

Sunday

The end of the weekend looks better in terms of sunshine for the region as we expect plenty of sunshine, but with a strong pressure gradient persisting across the region, gusty winds are expected once again. Wind intensification up to 25-30 m/s is possible throughout the day. A southerly flow will continue to keep our temperatures above average as well. We’ll be looking for highs in the upper 60s, which are at least 10 degrees above the average for this period in early November.

Sunday night

Mostly clear skies are expected tonight from Monday morning. It will be another colder start heading into Monday with morning lows dropping into the 40s for everyone.

Early next week

Dry weather will persist for most of next week. Expect lots of sunshine as we work through the first part of the week and a little more cloud to work its way through the region as we move into the end of next week. Temperatures are briefly lower as we work Monday and Tuesday with everyone into the 50s, where we should be this time in November. But another warming trend is in sight as we return to the lower to mid 60s next Wednesday and Thursday.

End of next week

Another system will hit the region late next week. Another chance of showers is expected in the afternoon, with high temperatures in the upper 50s.

End of next week

Colder changes then move into the region for early next weekend. Below average temperatures will move into most of the lower 48 states, including Michigan. Forecast models are also showing concern, so we’ll be forecasting a chance of rain and snow next weekend. High temperatures are 5-10 degrees below average as we head into the mid-40s by Saturday afternoon.
