Explore HSBC’s online banking services
HSBC, known as the world’s local bank, is a global leader in banking and financial services. According to Forbes magazine, it is the second largest banking and financial services group and the second largest public company by composite measures as of 2011. It has approximately 7,500 offices in 87 countries and territories in Europe, Asia Pacific, the Americas, Middle East and Africa. HSBC is a universal bank that has four divisions or service lines: private, commercial, investment and retail banking. It also offers a range of financial products such as credit/debit cards, loans, insurance and the like.
HSBC enables its customers to carry out banking activities through its online banking. This service allows the customer to perform a banking transaction online. These transactions include, but are not limited to, bill payments, fund transfers, loan applications, viewing recent bank transactions, and account administration. Online banking caters to customers with advanced technology preferences and those unable to transact during regular banking hours. This enables them to manage financial matters over the internet even in the wee hours of the morning right from their homes.
You just need to have an HSBC account to be eligible for its internet banking. It is also recommended that you use a browser supported by HSBC so that you can use Personal Internet Banking and protect your account.
To sign up for this banking service, you may need to have your social security number, your HSBC ATM, credit/debit card along with its PIN. If you don’t have any of these, your other account information such as your savings/checking account, mortgage, home equity and/or loan account will do, but it will take 5 days to complete the registration. This will help you verify your identity in a secure way and allow you instant access to internet banking.
A confirmation email containing your temporary username and password will be sent to notify you of access. You will then be able to do Personal Internet Banking when you first access it, but you will be prompted to change it to your preferred username and password. Likewise, you will be provided with a security key when you first log into the service.
Online banking is guaranteed fast and secure by HSBC. It has changed the style of banking for different types of customers by introducing internet banking and much more that it has to offer. Of course, all it takes is an effort to get online and it’s banking at its best.
