Futsal boots – everything you need to know

Length
Futsal shoes are sized like regular shoes. That being said, a futsal boot usually (suggests) a tighter fit, so standard shoe sizes may not transfer directly. These shoes are most often created from soft and supple, thin leathers. To ensure proper ball feel, a tighter fit is better. Indoor soccer shoes are designed with a narrower upper for better ball feel and control. Your indoor soccer shoe should probably fit as close to the end of your foot as possible without actually touching your toes. This will ensure the highest comfort and performance. Also, you don’t want the shoe to be too tight. Most indoor soccer shoes only come in one width. You may need to experiment with several different shoes until you find the one that fits you best.
If you have wider feet then look for cleats made from kangaroo leather as they will stretch the most to fit your feet.
Material
What your shoe comes from can also determine the fit. The best leathers (especially kangaroo leather) usually stretch after 1 or 2 uses. High-quality shoes will actually mold to the shape of your foot, so you’ll want them to fit snugly across the width when they’re fresh out of the box.
Correct fit
When you have your unique futsal boots, try them on indoors to check if they fit properly. Your shoes should fit snugly without discomfort or pressure points. Your toes should reach the front of the shoe, but should not touch the toe. Again, look for a gap of 1/4 to 1/2 inch. If the player continues to grow, we suggest buying slightly larger shoes and filling the extra space by putting on an extra set of two socks.
