How to play Signal – The card game
Signal is a great team card game and it’s a lot of fun. It is not easy to get tired of this game because it is so much fun to play. You play with a regular deck of 52 cards. Can be played with 4 or more people. The object of the game is to get four of a kind and then signal to your partner that you have it.
To begin, each partner must be facing each other. Before starting to play, each team must go to a separate room to signal when there are four of a kind. Some examples could be winking, smiling, fluttering eyelashes, scratching the nose, licking the lips, or anything else that won’t immediately tell the other teams. All signals must be above the table.
The dealer then deals four cards to each player and keeps the rest of the deck. When everyone is ready, the dealer will start taking cards one at a time and passing them to the other players in a clockwise direction. If a player wants the card that was dealt to them, they can replace it with another card in their hand. Once a player has four of a kind, he will have to use his signal to show his partner that he has four of a kind. If a player sees his partner giving a signal, he must shout “signal!” If their partner has four of a kind then that team wins, if they don’t then that team loses.
If a player from another team notices that another player is giving a signal, he can call out “signal” and indicate to whom he is calling it. If that team has four of a kind, then the team that called it wins, if it doesn’t, then the corresponding team wins. If the dealer runs out of cards before either team wins, then they can take the discard pile and start over. Turn the dealers clockwise.
This game can go on for hours. Spice it up by switching partners or brainstorming new signal ideas. It’s always fun to come up with a crazy cue that you can use over and over again with the same partner.
