Immigration visas for Australia
Every year people from all over the world migrate to Australia with the dream of a fresh start. Regardless of the purpose of the visit, it is mandatory to obtain a valid visa. Some basic requirements are essential and must be considered to ensure successful immigration.
Australian immigration visas are classified into different categories according to the purpose of immigration. These categories include skilled worker, business, parent, partner, family immigration, company sponsor, student, visitor and working holiday visas to name a few. These categories can be further subdivided into up to seventy-two subcategories, each of which follows separate application and approval procedures.
One can apply for a visa online or through a travel agent. Various online immigrant visa services also use ETA or Electronic Travel Authority processing, which is equivalent to a visa. In the case of an ETA, visitors are not required to submit their application to the Australian Visa Office and neither is there a stamp or label on their passports. The ETA is valid for twelve months or until the visitor’s passport expires, whichever comes first. An ETA allows multiple entries into Australia, provided a single visit does not exceed three months. However, the ETA option is only available to residents of an ETA-eligible country.
Apart from ETA, regular visa assistance is also available online. Some visas require a pre-application assessment check, which is provided as a free online service. All necessary forms, brochures, government policies, tips and suggestions, payment instructions and a list of required documents depending on the type of visa are listed. Some of these service organizations also provide free telephone consultations. It is important to verify the authenticity of the organization and service before paying exorbitant immigration fees.
