Monster Energy Drink – Same taste as Red Bull, but twice the size
Monster energy drink is doing its best to be like Red Bull. The taste is similar, the ingredients are identical, and they target the male/18-25 demographic. However, they have one clear advantage over Red Bull – quantity. Monster Energy Drink comes in a monstrous (pardon the pun) 16 oz. can, while Red Bull only offers 8.3-ounce cans. So you’re essentially getting twice the product for the same price ($2 per box).
As previously stated, Monster tastes pretty much the same as Red Bull (i.e. carbonated cough syrup). In my experience, the only difference is that Monster has a slightly sweeter aftertaste. This may be due to higher sugar content.
If you’re not a fan of the high-sugar Monster, they offer a low-sugar/low-carb version (yes, they imitated Red Bull here, too). This is perfect for anyone on a low sugar/carb diet. The difference in taste between the regular and the low sugar/carb version is almost unnoticeable.
Personally, I believe that Monster is a very good energy drink and definitely gives you the most bang for your buck.
