Review of Chi 1″ Iron

Review of Chi 1″ Iron

All women use some type of product or tool to style their hair on a daily basis. Whether you prefer an updo, ponytail, straight, curly, braided, etc., we all do something with our hair (at least before we leave the house). The biggest dilemma we face is choosing which product or tool we want to buy to best accompany our hair. As for me, I’m very picky about which tools to use on my hair because it’s so thick. When I style my hair, it takes me twice as long as a woman with a normal amount of hair. I went through so many different tools hoping to find the best one for the strength and length of my hair without damaging my hair. It really is a battle! On the other hand, I have come across a press that is absolutely perfect for my hair type. I’ll be reviewing the CHI Original 1″ Ceramic Hairstyling Iron. Below I’ll discuss what the tool is, why it works for me, and other customer reviews. Enjoy!
The CHI Original 1″ Ceramic Iron has many components that make it so great, such as forty-four ceramic plates, negative ions that add moisture and shine, lightning fast heating that reaches a temperature of 392 degrees, rotating cord, dual voltage , forty five watts and a two year warranty. Most of you probably don’t even know what all of this means…neither do I. All I know is that this product is awesome. The fact that the tool only goes up to 392 degrees is really good because anything around four hundred degrees is sure to burn your hair and give it that burnt smell. As much as the swivel cord doesn’t seem to matter, it really does. It’s much easier to use a product that has a swivel cord, especially when you’re flat-ironing your hair. One of the best things about this product is that it can curl your hair, it’s all in one! How can it do that, you might ask? Well, it’s largely because of He called left the tool to rotate in different directions, not just up d down motion. The tool is also said to style your hair in half the time it normally takes. I can’t personally attest to this because my hair is crazy, but I will post other reviews below.
Personally, I’m very picky about the styling tools I use on my hair. I have super thick hair, but I also don’t want a tool that gets too hot, so it’s very hard for me to find a flat iron that suits my needs. I didn’t actually buy this tool myself, I got it as a birthday present from my mom. I was a little nervous about this because it was a smaller iron and I usually go for thicker tools that contain more hair when ironing. But it was definitely time to get a new iron, so I gave it a shot. It was crazy how quickly the iron heated up to its maximum heat to start ironing my hair. I always use the same heat protection product on my hair as well. When I straighten my hair, I separate it into sections to make it a little easier. Let me tell you, it didn’t take half the time to straighten my hair, but it was pretty close. I felt like I didn’t have to put much effort into straightening my hair, it just straightened perfectly. Best of all, my hair felt super shiny and soft. My hair didn’t feel burnt or frizzy at all, it actually felt like it contained some of the lather. I usually only straighten my hair once a week because I’m super crazy about letting my hair rest. But whenever I straighten it, I love how it turns out!
On totalbeauty.com, Kenya did a really great review of the product. I won’t write word by word what she said because it is quite long, but I will write a short summary of what she said. Kenya said the iron is a bit pricey ($69.99) but totally worth it. It made her hair very smooth, touchable and shiny where she has super curly hair. One downside is that the iron doesn’t make her ends super straight (because it’s super curly), but that every other iron she owned didn’t either, so it wasn’t a make it or break it deal. She absolutely loves the fact that the iron also has curling features because it makes the price even more secure since it’s technically a two-in-one kind of product. Finally, Kenya said the only big downside to this product is that you can’t change the heat settings. Overall, her product review was pretty positive! Jessica then had some things to say about the product. She got the instrument when she was thirteen and now she is nineteen. She said some people change the product after a few years, but she hasn’t changed it in six years and it’s still working great. Jessica said the product gets super hot and glides through her hair without pulling, leaving her hair super soft, straight and shiny. She said the best way to use the iron is to separate your hair into sections of one inch or less and apply heat. Looks like Jessica had a great experience with this product as well.
Overall, this product is worth the price and drive to get it at Ulta or any beauty store near you. Aside from all the great reviews for this product, the CHI components and accessories are great and well worth your time and money. I’m interested to hear what you think if you have the product.
