Review of Citizen Watch model BL5315-50E
The diving watches made by Citizen are less popular than Seiko, but they still offer quite unique watches, for example the Autozilla, Eco-zilla and Orca. In addition to their existing innovative dive watch creations, Citizen has introduced a new line of solar-powered divers with chronographs and alarms, redefining what it means to create a professional dive watch. Leading among Citizen’s other creations is the BL5315-50E.
The Citizen BL5315-50E is 44mm in diameter and forged from stainless steel. Despite being large, the dial is actually easy to understand. It comes in a stainless steel case as well as a stainless steel bracelet. The watch features a perpetual calendar, adding a very nice touch to the watch. It also uses Citizen’s patented Eco-Drive technology, with a whopping 4-month power reserve. Some other features of the watch also include a 1-hour stopwatch as well as 12/24 hour and dual time zone support, which is directly convenient for users who are pilots, businessmen and those who travel a lot. It is also water resistant to a depth of 200 meters and the watch face is made of mineral crystal. The mechanism also features a one-way ion-plated ratcheting panel.
The Citizen BL5315-50E is also available in several other similar versions made with slightly different colors and looks. The BL5314-52E has a top price of $475, while the BL5334-04E will set buyers back around $375.
It’s impressive that Citizen has put so much effort and investment into the creation of its watches lately, evident by the new addition of the Citizen BL5315-50E to its arsenal.
