To marry the Maiden of the Mist at Niagara Falls

So you’ve decided that the traditional church route isn’t for you and you’re looking for more unique options that people will want to remember. Well, having your wedding ceremony at the Maiden of the Mist is definitely one of the best ways to do it.
For anyone who hasn’t heard of it, the Maiden of the Mist is a boat tour located in Niagara Falls that takes visitors as close as possible, within a few hundred feet, of the falls themselves. This close-up view of the falls allows people to hear and even feel the thunderous force of the water as it pours over the edge above them.
Choosing to get married at this one-of-a-kind attraction is an option that few couples have chosen to do, not because it’s not a good idea, but because many people don’t even know that getting married on the Virgin of the Mist is even an option for them .
The famous boat tour company allows couples to marry on their ships, but you’ll need to get permission from the company and arrange to bring your own minister on the boat with you because, contrary to popular belief, the captain can’t actually performed the ceremony.
Another thing to keep in mind is that every time the boat leaves, it carries several hundred passengers with it, so the cost of hiring it just for your ceremony can be prohibitive. 3) The last important step for this wedding is to make arrangements with the Maid of the Mist Boat company as early as possible. You will need to give them all the information about what you are planning and determine the best time of day and how much it would cost.
It’s a big company but they do their best to make your day as perfect as possible as long as you give them as much time and planning as possible.
One thing to note here is that Maid of the Mist is a private company, so it’s at their discretion if they want to continue to host weddings on their boats. Another good reason to plan well in advance.
And now, after all that, you’ll still have to plan the reception, photos, and transportation around town, because the Maid of the Mist company only provides the boat ride for the ceremony with a unique view.
